Episode 12: Oh Yeppoon, oh how I love thee

This episode is about the healing heart of Yeppoon, what a glorious place to stay!

We extended our stay from 2 weeks to 4 weeks, and in that time we bought a trailer, made our first van life friends, got to know the area fairly well and had some incredible experiences. I adored Yeppoon – it gifted me with so much healing, connection, and a sense of community and belonging.

Tune in to hear about birthday parties with clippers and shaved heads, breathwork circles, and a Closing of the Bones ceremony.

Episode 11: Doesn’t your husband get bored?

In this episode, I sit down with my husband, Mat, to answer the most common question I get about him: isn’t he bored?

We retired him earlier this year and he’s only 38, so people are curious about his lifestyle – what on earth does he do and how does he spend his days?

So if you’d like to hear his take on our van life adventure, in his words, tune in!

Episode 10: The realities and frustrations of van life

It’s time to get some stuff off my chest. In this episode, I discuss the unexpected and expected challenges of van life. I share these thoughts because van life is so romanticized – so being open and transparent about my experience will hopefully provide a well-rounded perspective.

This lifestyle is incredibly liberating, but it’s not without challenges. It’s been a significant period of adjustment. I share this not to grumble, but instead it is my hope to offer some insights on this lifestyle from my experience.

Some themes I cover in this episode included:
– storage limitations
– transportation challenges
– adapting to a new routine
– dealing with unsolicited advice
– being prepared
– being organized
– having a dearly loved pet while living on the road

Episode 9: Agnes Water, Qld

In this episode, I share an update on van life as we travel up the east coast of Queensland. I discuss the challenges and adjustments, upgrades to our van, detours, navigating road conditions, and the impact on my work schedule (and mindset).

Episode 7: Van life Q&A from our first week

Some of my followers asked questions and I answer them in this episode. The questions are about my favourite and least favourite things about the first week of van life, how we fill up our water tanks, how I access the internet for work, how we are adapting to minimal...

Episode 6: Van life has begun!
